I'm a Mormon, this is my missionary experience.

The date is June 30th, and this morning I just got back from EFY!
For anyone not familiar with EFY, it is a camp where other LDS kids can go, and grow closer to Christ.
I had the most spiritual experience ever. I was able to have a more personal relationship with God and Christ, and I was able to discover how much he loves us. I was also able to come closer to my company, and by the end of the week, we were a spiritual family. (Including Jeff) :)
While we were at EFY, we had a service project where we put together a packet, and grabbed a Book Of Mormon. They told up to take it home and share it with someone that came to our mind that doesn't have the gospel in their lives. I immediately thought of my neighbors.
So I came home today with the intent on sharing the gospel. I hoped that they would graciously accept my offer, and invite us inside to tell them a little bore about what it is like to be a Mormon.
I got the EXACT opposite.. I told them we were from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and asked her if she wanted to read the Book Of Mormon. She said she was born in Utah County and raised in the Catholic church and she is not willing to change it now. And then...... That's right. Door slammed in my face, and then we heard the lock *click*.... (Now that i'm thinking about it, I probably could have introduced myself better...)
I was So confused on why they didn't want to have the spirit in their lives! i slowly walked back to my house.. Book of Mormon STILL in hand. I wasn't sure what to think. I wanted to cry at the thought of never knowing the spirit. Then I thought of missionaries, and how they deal with this type of rejection every day.
I guess I will have to take my preaching somewhere else.;)
